Welcome to the Kindy A room
Please note: On 7 January 2015 the Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland (ACA Qld) was advised in writing by the Deputy Director-General of Early Childhood Education and Care that from 1 January 2015 the Kindergarten eligibility entry age for children will change to 4 years of age by 31 July from 4 years of age by 30 June.
Kindy A is a room in which the children experience warm and loving care between themselves and their teachers. We celebrate all cultural needs as we have a diverse group and we have an open communication belief with all families.
The room is set up according to the children’s interests and is adjusted to suit any needs. Their ideas and input is always appreciated and included in the program. Although not all the children in Kindy A will be going to school, we run an approved Kindy program and work with local schools to ensure your child is profoundly ready to enter big school!
Kindy is more than numbers, colours and letters. It is social skills, independence and resilience. We believe in ourselves and each other. We support our friends and value diversity. Children learn through play and that is what we focus on in our room. Play is a child's way of learning and gaining understanding about their environment and health and wellbeing. With the assistance of specialist teachers the children are able to take part in a weekly Music lesson with Adele and Soccer lesson with Mitchell.
The classroom and outdoor areas are set up to extend on interests and foster creativity. You will often find us having a picnic with the other classes, doing a spot of gardening, dancing, creating stories and art and delighting in the art of lively discussion.
We would love for you to join our room!
